On this exciting tour, we will marvel at the impressive Pillones waterfalls, where you will be able to capture incredible images and enjoy the natural surroundings while observing the rock formations sculpted by the water. After this experience, we will explore the mysterious stone forest of Imata to discover its unique beauty.
Our tour starts with the pick up from your hotel in the city of Arequipa at approximately 6:30 in the morning. We will then head out on an exciting excursion to the majestic Pillones waterfalls, located at an impressive altitude of 4600 meters above sea level. On the way, we will make strategic stops in the charming villages of Pampa de Arrieros and Patahuasi, where you can enjoy Peruvian breakfasts if you wish, this comes at your own expense.
Around 10:30 a.m., we will arrive at the starting point for an exciting downhill hike of approximately half an hour to reach the renowned waterfalls. Before reaching this spectacular destination, we will marvel at the curious rock formations sculpted by the persistent action of water over time. As we approach the falls we have to be careful as the path can be a bit slippery and challenging.
Once in front of the falls, you will have the opportunity to capture impressive images, enjoy the warm weather and contemplate the exuberant native flora and fauna of this wonderful place, as well as observe prehistoric animals and even mysterious faces on the rocks.
After marveling at the waterfalls, we will dive into the mysterious stone forest of Imata to discover its unique natural beauty. Afterwards, we will head to the local village to enjoy lunch at a tourist restaurant. It is important to note that the cost of this lunch will be paid by each passenger. Once lunch is finished, we will start our return trip to the city of Arequipa, where we will leave you at your hotel at approximately 5:00 p.m., thus ending this wonderful tour.
