Daily Schedule
- 04:00 hrs: Pick up from your hotel.
- 04:30 hrs: Travel from Cusco to Cusipata.
- 06:00 hrs: Breakfast in a tourist restaurant.
- 09:00 hrs: Hiking experience to the Montaña de Colores de Palcoyo and time to enjoy the scenery..
- 12:00 hrs: Return to our transportation to go to the restaurant..
- 13:00 hrs: Lunch in a tourist restaurant.
- 14:30 hrs: Return trip from Cusipata to Cusco.
- 17:00 hrs: End of the Tour.
Experience Details
The Pallcoyo Mountain tour starts very early, approximately at 4:30 am we will pass by your hotel located in the historic center of Cusco and we will go to the town of Cusipata located approximately 2 hours from Cusco, where we will stop at the restaurant to enjoy a delicious breakfast and then continue our journey for another 1 hour.
Once we arrive at the starting point we will get ready to start the hike of approximately 1 hour, on the way we will observe beautiful landscapes and we will arrive at Palcoyo a mountain of colors similar to the classic Vinicunca Mountain, but there is not only one mountain in Palcoyo, there are 3 mountains of different colors of the rainbow.
This circuit does not require much physical condition and you can do it with ease, besides seeing the forest of stones and taking pictures. Then we will prepare for the return by car to the town of Cusipata to enjoy a delicious buffet lunch and then return to Cusco, ending at approximately 16:00 pm near the main square of Cusco.

Palcoyo
Palcoyo is a set of rainbow mountains located in the Cusco region of Peru. Unlike Vinicunca, it features several colorful mountains and offers a short hike with breathtaking scenery, including a stone forest and the possibility of seeing the famous red river. It is best visited during the rainy season and is ideal for those who prefer short hikes or suffer from soroche at high altitudes.
Important Information
Recommendations:
- Bring your original identity card or passport.
- Bring warm, waterproof or thermal clothing (jacket, scarf, gloves, and hats).
- We suggest to do the tour with trekking shoes.
- Bring a small backpack with your camera, sunglasses, hat, sunscreen and a bottle of water.
- Raincoat in rainy season extra clothes (from October to March). Rain poncho.
- Bring money, preferably soles.
