Discover colonial and modern Lima, join our half day tour to explore the historical and contemporary attractions of the city, ideal for tourists and culture lovers.
The tour of Lima begins in the morning with a visit to the Huaca Pucllana, an ancient Inca ceremonial center in Miraflores. Then, we head to the Historic Center to explore Colonial Lima, including the Main Square, the Convent of San Francisco and the Museum of the Central Reserve Bank with its Collection of Treasures of Peru. Finally, we tour Modern Lima visiting the Olivar de San Isidro Park, the Miraflores - Parque del Amor and culminating in Larcomar.
Our tour starts at 9:00 am, we as an agency will pick you up from your hotel in Miraflores by our official tour guide. During the tour, we will explore the three historical stages of Lima: Pre-Hispanic, Colonial and Modern. Departing from Miraflores, we will be able to admire the impressive "Huaca Pucllana", which was an ancient ceremonial game center for the Incas from the 4th century A.D., considered an important place for the Inca culture.
Afterwards, we will head to the Historic Center of Lima, where we will be able to immerse ourselves in the colonial history of the city. Here we will see emblematic monuments and buildings such as the Paseo de la Republica (Roosevelt House), Plaza San Martin and Plaza Mayor, where important buildings such as the Government Palace and the Cathedral Basilica are located. We will also visit the Convent of San Francisco, which houses religious relics of colonial art, a fascinating collection and the famous subway catacombs.
We will continue our journey with a visit to the Museum of the Central Reserve Bank, which contains the Collection of Treasures of Peru, including ceramic, gold and textile objects from various pre-Columbian cultures.
Finally, we will explore the Contemporary or Modern Zone of Lima, with its main buildings and residential areas such as the Olivar de San Isidro Park, the Miraflores - Parque del Amor and Larcomar.
Our lunch will be in a tourist restaurant called "La Candelaria", known for its variety of exquisite Peruvian dishes and where we will enjoy a wonderful show of folkloric dances along with the famous "Pisco Sour".
It is important to note that the Museum of the Central Reserve Bank is closed to the public on Saturdays, Sundays and all day on Mondays.
