Experience Details
We will meet you at your hotel located in downtown Puno to pick you up and take you to the local port, where we will board a boat to enjoy a short trip to the islands. Each island is a small totora platform that floats on the deep blue lake of Titicaca and is home to small communities that built their houses using totora to keep them afloat.
We will then continue our journey to Taquile Island, where we will take a 30-minute walk from the port to the village. There, we will have approximately two hours to enjoy the beautiful scenery, observe the production of picturesque handicrafts and learn about the traditional way of life of the islanders. During this time, we will enjoy a traditional lunch and then explore the hills and archaeological sites of the island.
