One of Peru's main attractions is Machu Picchu, an ancient city in the Sacred Valley that is one of the new wonders of the world. You can get there by train and bus or through the Inca Trail, but it is important to plan your trip in advance.

Peru is a country with a rich diversity of natural and cultural attractions in all its regions. Here are some of the most visited places in Peru:

To know what is the best time to visit Peru, it is essential to understand its climatic diversity, which is due to the influence of the cold Humboldt current, the long desert coast, the Andean mountains and the Amazon jungle, with microclimates that generate significant variations.

Therefore, we consider that the best time to visit the country is the dry season from April to September, although the climate varies according to the region.

On the coast, the optimal months are December to March, with sunny days. Peru has a variety of climates due to its extension and altitude. The coast is arid subtropical, the Sierra is dry and cold at night, while the Amazon region has rain almost all year round and has a warm climate.

It is always advisable to consult the official Peru weather page before traveling, in order to be prepared and enjoy your visit to Peru to the fullest.

At Andean Peru Tours we recommend you to stay in Peru between 7 and 10 days depending on what you want to see and do. We offer flexible vacation packages so you can choose the number of nights in each city, the desired hotel and activities. We suggest a minimum of 3 nights in the larger cities.

In Peru, the official and predominant language is Spanish. Approximately 90% of the Peruvian population speaks Spanish as a mother tongue or second language. However, it is important to note that in some rural areas, especially in indigenous communities, indigenous languages such as Quechua, Aymara and others are spoken.

In tourist areas and hotels, you may encounter English-speaking staff, but it cannot be assumed that everyone speaks English. Therefore, it is useful to learn a few phrases in Spanish to facilitate communication and enrich your travel experience in Peru.
