What documents are required for the purchase of your ticket?

To purchase any of the tickets to Machu Picchu it is necessary to send a digital photo of your passport or valid identity card. If the visitor is a university student, he/she can send a digital photo of his/her university ID (ISIC is no longer accepted) and receive a special discount. Remember that these documents must be valid until the date of the visit to Machu Picchu. At the entrance gate to the Inca City, they will check that your document matches the data provided on the ticket, so do not forget to bring your document with you!

How to get discounts when booking tickets?

• Discounts for minors - Only a digital photo of the children's passport or ID (valid for children under 18 years old) must be sent. Minors must be accompanied by a parent.
• Discounts for university students - Only a digital photo of a valid university ID must be submitted (valid for undergraduate students under 25 years of age). The ISIC card is no longer valid.

WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW TO VISIT MACHU PICCHU

• To enter the citadel, you must present your ticket and identity document. The time of permanence is a maximum of four hours and re-entry is not allowed.
• You may not carry and/or consume alcoholic beverages inside the Archaeological Park.
• You must not climb the walls and other constructions of the Inca City.
• Do not make inscriptions on the floors, walls, stones, etc. under penalty of sanction.
• Do not remove samples of lithic material and/or plants or flowers.
• Do not throw solid and/or liquid waste.
• Do not carry backpacks with a capacity greater than 20 kg.
• Do not bring professional filming or photography equipment for commercial purposes. To do so, the corresponding permit and authorization must be obtained from the Cusco Regional Cultural Office.
